Synopsis

Sometimes the truth arrives before the proof.

Naomi, a fiercely independent, permanently single woman in her 50s, has big news: she's pregnant. She announces this startling revelation to her boss's boss's boss in the waiting room of a gynecologist's office. It's not that she took a test or has any kind of physical proof, she simply believes it to be true.

What she doesn't mention, and what is revealed as the story unfolds, is the fraught history behind the man she believes to be the father. As Naomi shares her news with the people in her life, their reactions force her to confront long-buried truths. Through a series of revelatory encounters, Naomi must let go of the version of her life she had been clinging to and make way for a new vision that is hers alone.
